In March of 2015, we were invited by our niece and nephew to go to Disneyland with them. Figuring it would be a once in a lifetime journey, we booked flights and a hotel. We departed on March 15th, flying from Edmonton to Las Angeles where Tatterhood's dad, Joe Teton, met us at the airport and drove us over to the beach where everyone was hanging out. We spent several hours relaxing before heading to our hotel in Anaheim.  The next day, we took a shuttle over to Disneyland. It was decided that we would spend the first day at the California Adventures side of the park. The very first ride we got taken on was the Tower of Terror. Walking up to the tower and standing in line, Torran loved all the Art Deco architecture that surrounded him. So much so, he had to borrow a camera to take pictures of it all for his Minecraft ideas. Welcome back to another TB Spotlight where we take a closer look at Travel Bugs we've discovered during our Geocaching adventures. This week we look at a travel bug that we found on our drive home to Alberta from Michigan on July 27th of 2014. It was located in a cache in Minnesota called 2 Above, Louis Below which was a pretty neat cache that we drove up to down by the St. Louis River. In this cache we found the ' Catch Me A Fish ' travel bug and decided to bring it along with us on our journey home. 'Catch Me A Fish' was released back on July 7th of 2013 by its owner Dada Joka . According to Dada Joka, this travel bug was created by his son, who is an avid fisherman. The current goal is for the bug to travel to as many fishing communities as possible and at each new state or country that another lure is added to the chain, minus the hooks. Welcome back! In an effort to share the many adventures we've had since this blog went on hiatus, we've decided to create a series of posts dedicated to our 2014 and 2015  adventures and geocaching trips.  As was mentioned in a previous post, one of the requirements for immigrating to the United States was a medical. In order for me (Torran) to get that medical, we had to have an American Certified doctor do the examination. This doesn't seem like a big deal, however, in Canada there were only five approved doctors. All of them except one were located in eastern Canada. The one not down east was located in Surrey, British Columbia, which is the province to the west of Alberta.  On May 3, 2015 we landed at the Vancouver International Airport and rented a Jeep Patriot to drive over to the Holiday Inn Hotel in Cloverdale. Well, Adventurers, it's been quite a while since our last adventure post but that's only because we have just been on one our most incredible adventures to date! It all started a year and a half ago when both Tatterhood and I felt inspired to finally act on our impressions to move south to the USA. Tatterhood is originally from the states, she having moved to Canada after we got married. The fact she was still an American citizen we thought would make it relatively easy to move down there. However the red taped hurtles and forests of paperwork kept us busy. On our family reunion road trip to northern Michigan (which is worthy of a more in depth post later), we received confirmation that I qualified for immigration but more paperwork was needed. After submitting these and more papers later on, the wait game was on. While on our random trip south in Utah, Torran decided to check on one of his most popular geocaches. ' I Heard It Through The Grapevine '. This cache has been going strong since 2009 when it was hidden and has received regular maintenance almost every year since. However, last year we were unable to make the journey south, which meant this cache had gone a few years without some TLC.  At first, we were unable to locate it, even with the GPS. After 10 minutes of searching we finally spotted it laying on the ground under a bush. The log was completely soaking wet and the camouflage had taken a beating from the desert environment. The hook which had once secured the cache to the Current bush was also missing. Torran decided to take the cache back to Tatterhood's parent's house and give it a little love. He replaced the hook, replaced the log and cleaned off the debris that had been collected while the cache had sat on the ground, seemingly all winter. He then...

In March 2014, we randomly decided to take a trip south to Utah to visit family and escape the dragging out of the Canadian winter. While down there, we went with the family on a relatively short trip over to Zion National Park. Though we have been there many times before, each time we stand amazed at the dazzling sights, sounds and epic landscape that surround us. Almost every year since we first met, we have managed to make a trip to this park. We usually try to get a photo at Weeping Rock. Unfortunately this year that hike was too busy. In fact, the entire park was busy the day we visited. With several of our young nieces and nephews in tow we instead choose to do the riverwalk. The riverwalk is one of the easier hikes in Zion. It's a longer hike then some, but the path is a paved one mile and there are many advantageous locations for photos. Although photos really don't do justice to the immensity and wonder of seeing this incredible formation in its natural glory. ...
